We had to do research on our architecture that was given to us and make a biography of him on an A2 board with his works, achievement and also about him and his characteristics. We had to draw a Visual Narrative too on an A3 paper that defines him and we had to include four main activities which are, feed me, do it, shut eye, clean up.

Interactive Support-Pod Design
On our second assignment we had to design an Interactive Support-Pod Design based on our Architect which mine was C.J. Lim. My design was just a simple pod which the public can access and enjoy the art work of C.J. Lim in the pod itself and also outside the Pod which has a hanging gallery which is allows the public to admire his work. There's also a seating area inside the pod itself for people to rest and relax or to have shelter
A[live] urbanism capsule
For our final project assignment we are assigned to design a living space for our architecture which he's able to work, rest, eat and enjoy himself in the container that we built for him. We are given 2 containers size 12000cm x 2500cm x 2750cm. The location given is in Ipoh in between two rows of shophouses and there's also an alley in between the allocated place.
We were given the opportunity to have a site visit to Ipoh and have a better understanding about our site and proceed to designing our container while experiencing the lifestyle there. Furthermore the container that we are designing has to be related to our architecture and suits his characteristics with a modern design and mechanisms.
On the second day was our site visit for our container and we did the tasks that were given to each group and mine was exploring Sekeping Trail. On the last day of our trip, we have it free & easy in the morning and before we depart from Ipoh to KL we had a group photo for memory purposes in the future, we arrived at around 4pm and had our ideas for our container design for the location given.
Not just that, we were assigned to a few different groups that we are to walked around Ipoh and explore the culture and tradition of Ipoh experiencing how the locals there go about their daily lives. On the first day, we took a bus to Ipoh Container Hotel and tour around Ipoh with their scrumptious local food and visiting their tourist sites. The most memorable for me was Concubine Lane and Gerbang Malam which amazed me completely.
We started off with our model designs and were guided through the entire process. We are to explain how our container works while having a unique modern design and also relates to the architect with enough mechanism inside. . In the end we have to build a model scale 1:50 of our container for our final presentation. My model is an L shaped container which interlocks both containers together.
We are given the task to have two Ao Size board as our final presentation board. We have to draw out all of our sketches of our container and explain it on the board showing the reasons why did you choose to draw that certain drawing and how does it relate to your architect. Visual Narrative is also drawn to show the story of the container and how does the mechanisms work.
My container contains 4 different sections which is the Sky Deck, Washroom, Kitchen and also Work/Resting area. The sky deck has transparent glass around it that allows the architect to enjoy the view from the top floor and have inspiration while relaxing looking at busy life of Ipoh town. The washroom is a compact washroom filled with a sink, toilet bowl, shower, washing machine, cabinets and even a safe. The Kitchen is just a normal kitchen but it can be pushed out into the balcony to have an outdoor party and accommodate more guests. The work/resting area is a convertible bed which it has both bed and a working booth.
Presentation Day
Presentation day, it's my happiest and nervous moment of my entire semester 2. Happy that it's finally going to end but nervous that i'll make mistakes. On the 18th of December 2018 we were all given a chance to present in front of other lecturers as well as our seniors. All of us had to pin up our work of the entire semester in front of everyone to see our work and if we are qualified to proceed into semester 3.
All of us students are given 15 minutes to present our work which is "Get to know your architect", "Interactive Support-Pod Design" and "A[live] urbanism capsule". After that we will have a Q&A session with our respective invigilators. My invigilators were really kind and helpful towards me, they even gave me suggestions on how i could improve myself and my creativity. I admit that i could've done better if i had put in more time and effort in my assignments, i'll learn from my mistakes and change my lazy attitude and work harder from semester 3 onwards.
